Am I the only one who feels like everyone is fake? For example, I recently quit my job and Friday was my last day. A coworker of mine who I chit chat with, surprised me by saying are you going to give me your phone number? I said sure! With a big smile. After our shifts I had to seek her out to get her number. Later she texts me saying “Hi, Thanks for everything 😆” and I reply “if you ever want to chit chat hit me up” and no reply. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me. Why ask for someone’s number if you have zero intention in becoming true friends. I feel like I don’t belong in this society if this behavior is the norm. I don’t understand. I have reconnected with two other people this year in hopes of becoming friends. Both times went great (at least it appeared to) and I don’t hear back from anyone. The only friends I use to have were all just using me for sex or other shit. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I living in the wrong society? (at Las Vegas, Nevada)
